Lessons With Shaun
Each lesson is tailored to the individuals goals and needs of the student. As a student you will be taught the fundamentals of what it means to be a drummer, how to learn songs, read notation, and essential techniques.
IN PERSON LESSONS will take place at Shaun's home studio, The Ludlow Drum Tuition teaching studio in Edinburgh (EH17 7RY). The studio is in a comfortable, open space, in a safe and residential area of South Edinburgh with the company of Suki the cat (please include any cat allergies in your inquiry email).
​Online lessons will take place preferably on Zoom. More info below.

​All prices apply to physical face to face lessons as well as online video lessons through either Zoom or Skype.

1 on 1 for 30 minutes costs £20 (recommended for young students)
​
1 on 1 for 1 hour costs £30
​
First Block of 10 (1 hour) lessons costs £280, or 10 (30 minute) costs £180 (recommended for those wanting multiple lessons)
Online Lessons
Zoom is the preferred method of online tutoring as it is an online platform used generally for conferencing and meetings. In our context, it is for tuition only and not for any other contact, e.g. sharing photos or general messaging. ​For the drum lessons to work online you will need to use a laptop as mobile and tablet versions of zoom automatically block background noise so the drum kit and music cannot be heard. On the laptop version you will need to go into settings, then audio, then click advanced and make sure both 'suppress intermittent and persistent background noise' is disabled and enable original audio is ticked. Also make sure the webcam and microphone are working prior to the lesson by doing a trial video call. Further to this please make sure both the drum kit and the student are as visible as possible and that the drum kit and student can be heard. Making sure if an electric drum kit is being used that an amplifier is available.
